Brooklyn Technical High School Case Study
Brooklyn Technical High School (BTHS), commonly called Brooklyn Tech, is a New York City public high school that specializes in engineering, math and science and is the largest specialized high school for
science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in the United States.
BTHS was looking to upgrade, and improve their main corridor which contained years of trophies, awards, and plaques housed in a custom wall unit. Their desire was to modernize this display, while maintaining its historic integrity in order to provide a multitude of digital applications including the welcoming of visitors, scheduled announcements, updating school scheduling and events, and the ability to display any format of digital videos and still images from school and student activities, as well as live streaming media. Another important requirement was to be able to distribute this digital information to hundreds of locations throughout the building including classrooms, labs, lunch areas, auditoriums, and additional offices using their existing cabling and infrastructure.
Gallery™ Enterprise Solution
Gallery Digital Signage installed a new 55” Samsung Commercial display into the custom Millwork. To display all of the digital content created and scheduled for any event or activity. Along with a custom built in audio solution, hidden installed speakers allow audio content to either accompany the video, or be used as a separate source of information. In partnership with VBrick Systems, We were able to provide a unique, low cost Video Streaming solution over IP to run alongside our digital signage media so all information, including cable television could be distributed to their remote room locations via existing infrastructure, and could be displayed on their wide variety of projectors, displays, and Smart Boards. The gallery Enterprise system is easily managed and controlled internally by BT.
